The Most Stylish Sweaters For Men | Fall Style Lookbook - Fall Series Part 4

November 8, 2017

The key to looking great in sweaters is nailing the fit properly.  Try sizing down one size to achieve a slim look and avoid oversized baggy sweaters that are just not flattering.

Crew neck –

Typically made from Italian merino wool these can be worn casually with sweatpants or dressed up with a pair of slacks and dress shirt underneath for the office.  I don’t recommend wearing a tie with a crew neck because it won’t be visible.

V-Neck –

Similar to the crew neck these are also made from Italian merino wool and can be worn casually or dressed up with a nice suit.  The v-neck is a great sweater to wear with a tie as it allows the tie to be visible underneath which looks very elegant.

Henley –

The Henley is a great casual sweater and I think it looks dynamite paired with denim, boots and a leather jacket!

Cardigan –

First you have the lightweight wool cardigan perfect for layering your outfits during the fall and winter and you can rock these with a tie and pair of slacks or under a nice suit.  Throw on a pea coat when it’s get really cold.

Another stylish option is the heavy cotton/wool knitted shawl cardigan – great for casual wear and you can also dress it up in the office – wool knitted ties work really well with these sweaters during the fall as they are a heavier fabric than silk.

BONUS –

Turtle Neck – not as stylish as the other sweaters however they are making a comeback.  You can wear these casually and they help keep your neck warm.  Or you can rock these to the office under a sport coat or suit.
